Key Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Architect, your core responsibilities will include:

• Architecture Development and Management: Design, implement, and oversee the organization’s cybersecurity architecture framework, policies, and standards to establish a robust security foundation.
• Risk and Threat Assessment: Conduct comprehensive threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks before they materialize.
• Security Integration and Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to seamlessly integrate security solutions into existing infrastructure, ensuring that security is embedded at every layer of our systems and applications.
• Security Protocol Design: Develop and implement advanced security protocols, systems, and mechanisms to protect data integrity, privacy, and availability across all digital environments.
• Stay Ahead of Emerging Threats: Monitor the cybersecurity landscape for emerging trends, tools, and threats, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance our security posture and adopt innovative technologies.
• Technical Leadership and Guidance: Serve as a trusted advisor to security team members and project stakeholders, offering technical expertise and leadership to strengthen our collective security defenses.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on architecture, design, and implementation of security solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls, as well as practical experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
• Cloud Security Expertise: Demonstrated experience with cloud security protocols and best practices, particularly in environments like AWS or Azure, ensuring robust protection in cloud-based infrastructures.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your candidacy for this role:

• Advanced Education: A Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Industry Certifications: Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
• Incident Response Experience: Hands-on experience with incident response and management, as well as security operations, to ensure rapid and effective mitigation of security incidents.
• ITIL Certification: Familiarity with ITIL frameworks to align cybersecurity initiatives with IT service management best practices.
• Enterprise Architecture Expertise: TOGAF certification to support the development of enterprise-wide security architectures.
