Key Responsibilities

The Senior Technical Engineer will serve as a technical authority throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery. Your core duties will include:

• Technical Review and Coordination: Scrutinize engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements, quality benchmarks, and regulatory standards. Coordinate seamlessly with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain consistency and efficiency.
• Project Support and Compliance: Provide expert technical guidance during planning, design, and construction phases, ensuring adherence to approved schedules, budgets, and industry best practices. Address technical challenges proactively and develop pragmatic solutions to mitigate risks.
• Documentation and Reporting: Oversee the preparation of Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. Conduct thorough reviews to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Compile technical reports, presentations, and project documentation to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate design reviews, value engineering exercises, and technical meetings to foster collaboration among multidisciplinary teams. Serve as a liaison between project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders to resolve site challenges and optimize project outcomes.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor technical progress, conduct site inspections, and verify compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Champion a culture of excellence by upholding the highest standards of engineering integrity.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in construction, infrastructure, landscaping, or public realm projects, with a proven track record in technical oversight and project delivery.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of engineering standards, construction methodologies, and project delivery processes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software is essential.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions under tight deadlines.
• Communication and Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Experience in managing relationships with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable.
