Accountant (Saudi National)

In this role, you will:

• Independently perform day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring adherence to Parsons policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Maintain the general ledger, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines.
• Analyze account balances, investigate variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with established accounting procedures, internal controls, and corporate policies.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to internal stakeholders as required.
• Participate in the improvement and implementation of accounting processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

To qualify, you will need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• A solid understanding of general accounting principles, practices, and standards.
• A strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.

Desired skills include:

• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements in accounting or reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
