Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of logistics professionals to achieve performance targets, ensuring alignment with company objectives and operational standards.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage daily logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Performance Tracking: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction, providing regular feedback and coaching as needed.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards, to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and senior management, to align logistics operations with business goals and customer expectations.
• Training and Development: Support the professional growth of team members through targeted training programs, skill development initiatives, and performance evaluations.
• Customer Focus: Act as a liaison between the team and customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of service delivery to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with a strong focus on employee engagement, development, and performance management.
• Operational Expertise: In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and distribution, with a track record of optimizing processes.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to drive operational improvements.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and customers.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
