About the Role
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Red Sea International Airport, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and strategic decision-making within a dynamic and high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst will be entrusted with a diverse range of financial and accounting responsibilities, including:
- Financial Reporting and Accounting: Prepare, review, and post journals in the ERP system, ensuring entries are accurate, complete, and supported by appropriate documentation. Maintain rigorous adherence to accounting standards and ensure transactions are recorded in the correct accounting periods.
- Month-End and Year-End Close Processes: Lead and support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation, account reviews, reconciliations, and the investigation of reconciling items to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- ERP Governance and Audit Support: Collaborate with head office finance teams, external auditors, and system providers to resolve accounting queries, support audit requests, and maintain robust ERP governance. Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, journal workflows, and reconciliation procedures.
- Financial Analysis and Business Partnering: Provide financial insights and support to operational and commercial teams, enabling informed decision-making. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Procurement and Compliance: Support and review purchase requisitions and purchase order creation, ensuring compliance with Delegation of Authority, appropriate approvals, accurate coding, and a clear audit trail.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, ERP data quality controls, and workflow efficiencies to drive operational excellence and financial integrity.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following attributes:
- Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis, preferably within an operational or asset-intensive environment, is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of financial reporting, management reporting, and core accounting principles is critical. Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities is highly desirable. Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Oracle or similar finance platforms, is a significant advantage.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills are paramount. The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-finance stakeholders is crucial.
