About the Role

Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea, an integral part of the groundbreaking Red Sea Project in Saudi Arabia, invites a seasoned and meticulous Account Payable Manager to join our finance team in Umluj. This pivotal role will oversee all accounts payable operations for our two nature-focused luxury resorts, ensuring seamless financial transactions, vendor relationships, and compliance with Saudi Arabia’s financial regulations. As a key contributor to our financial health, you will implement best practices, optimize processes, and support the operational excellence of our ultra-luxury properties—Raffles The Red Sea and Fairmont The Red Sea.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Operations: Manage the entire accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice receipt, verification, processing, and timely payment disbursement to maintain strong vendor relationships and operational efficiency.
• Vendor Management & Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements with precision, resolve discrepancies promptly, and address billing inquiries or disputes in a professional and solution-oriented manner. Negotiate favorable payment terms where applicable to enhance cash flow.
• Financial Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all transactions adhere to company policies, internal controls, and Saudi Arabia’s financial regulations. Prepare accurate, detailed financial reports and reconciliations for senior management review, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Process Optimization & Best Practices: Develop and implement streamlined accounts payable procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and align with the ultra-luxury standards of our brand. Continuously evaluate and refine workflows to adapt to evolving business needs.
• Cash Flow & Aging Reports: Monitor accounts payable aging reports to identify opportunities for optimizing cash flow, ensuring timely payments while maximizing working capital.
• Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and mentor accounts payable staff, providing guidance on processes, compliance, and best practices. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Technology & Systems Proficiency: Utilize advanced accounting software and ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) to maintain organized, accessible, and audit-ready financial records. Stay abreast of technological advancements to drive innovation in accounts payable operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, operations, and other departments to align financial objectives with the broader goals of the organization, ensuring seamless integration of accounts payable functions within the luxury hospitality ecosystem.
• Pre-Opening & Project Coordination: During the pre-opening phase, demonstrate exceptional project coordination skills, including scheduling, document control, and adherence to luxury brand standards. Anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions to ensure a flawless financial launch.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in accounts payable management or a similar accounting role, with a proven track record in a hospitality or hotel environment. Pre-opening experience is mandatory.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and financial management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools is essential.
• Financial Acumen: Strong background in invoice processing, vendor management, financial reconciliation, and multi-currency transactions. Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s financial regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, with excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required, along with a professional demeanor and unwavering ethical standards.
• Luxury Brand Alignment: A deep understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand alignment, coupled with impeccable grooming and personal presentation standards.
• Adaptability & Ownership: A proactive, anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
