Fairmont The Red Sea, an integral part of the groundbreaking Red Sea Project in Saudi Arabia, invites a meticulous and analytical Cost Controller to join its finance team in Umluj. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial precision, cost efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the resort’s operations. As a Cost Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of Fairmont The Red Sea, a sanctuary of refined elegance and timeless luxury, blending Raffles’ legendary hospitality with the natural beauty and sustainability ethos of Red Sea Global. Key Responsibilities

• Cost Monitoring and Analysis: Track and analyze departmental costs and expenditures to identify variances, trends, and anomalies. Provide detailed explanations for budget deviations to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, maintain, and update detailed cost budgets and financial forecasts for assigned departments. Collaborate with department heads to align financial plans with operational goals and strategic objectives.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, cost statements, and variance analyses for internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Cost Optimization: Implement cost control procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency across departments. Lead cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for operational improvements, aligning with the resort’s luxury brand standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with departmental managers and senior finance leadership to support strategic decision-making. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders, fostering a culture of financial awareness and accountability.
• Process Improvement: Utilize accounting software and ERP systems, such as SAP, to track and report on costs. Investigate cost anomalies and recommend corrective actions to mitigate financial risks and enhance profitability.
• Pre-Opening Support: Provide critical financial oversight during the pre-opening phase, including project coordination, scheduling, and document control. Ensure seamless financial integration as the resort prepares to welcome its first guests.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cost accounting, financial control, or a related finance discipline. Prior experience in the hospitality or service industry is highly advantageous, given the resort’s ultra-luxury positioning and guest expectations. Proficiency in financial analysis, cost accounting principles, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. Experience with accounting software or ERP systems, particularly SAP, is preferred.
