Manger - Mechanical (MEP)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Manager (Mechanical) to oversee the comprehensive execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across multiple buildings and structures within a major project. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional capable of leading the integration, installation, testing, and commissioning of distributed HVAC systems, fire alarm and firefighting systems (including PS and underground piping), plumbing infrastructure, and associated electrical and miscellaneous works. The MEP Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination with subcontractors, adherence to contractual obligations, and compliance with local standards and client specifications. This position requires a strategic leader who can drive project execution, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality results within defined timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Execution: Oversee the entire MEP scope of work, including supervising subcontractors throughout installation, testing, commissioning, and handover to the client. Ensure all deliverables meet contractual, technical, and quality requirements.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Compliance: Implement and enforce rigorous HSE protocols to safeguard all personnel, equipment, and project assets. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal teams—such as civil, electrical, and instrumentation—while collaborating with external stakeholders, including consultants, clients, and vendors, to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
• Schedule & Resource Management: Develop, monitor, and enforce project schedules with a focus on timely execution. Coordinate resources, subcontractors, and stakeholders to optimize workflows and mitigate delays.
• Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC): Establish and enforce robust QA/QC procedures to uphold the highest standards of workmanship. Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning to validate system performance and reliability.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor MEP-related expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage variations to ensure financial accountability without compromising quality or safety.
• Technical & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all MEP installations comply with client specifications, local regulations, and international standards. Facilitate approvals, technical clarifications, and vendor coordination to resolve discrepancies proactively.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in MEP management, with at least 5 years dedicated to projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of pumps, blowers, HVAC systems, electrical panels, cabling, and plumbing networks, particularly in treatment plants. Familiarity with SCADA, MCC, and PLC integration is highly desirable.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and resolve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.
