As a Buggy Host, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing seamless transportation, personalized engagement, and impeccable service across our 361-room resort, featuring eleven distinct dining concepts—including an iconic overwater restaurant—and a world-class Spa. Your contributions will help set new benchmarks in sustainable luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service & Transportation: Ensure a flawless guest experience by operating electric buggies to transport visitors between villas, dining venues, and resort facilities. Prioritize smooth, comfortable, and timely journeys while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
• Personalized Engagement: Act as a resort storyteller, anticipating guest needs and offering intuitive, bespoke service. Share insights about the destination, local culture, and resort amenities to enhance their stay and create lasting memories.
• Safety & Compliance: Operate electric buggies in strict adherence to resort speed limits, pedestrian safety protocols, and Saudi Arabian driving regulations. Maintain vigilance to ensure the safety of guests and staff at all times.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of buggies, including battery levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness. Ensure vehicles are kept in pristine condition, ready to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Luggage Handling: Assist guests with the loading and unloading of luggage and personal items with the utmost care, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Operational Coordination: Maintain constant communication with the Front Office and Concierge teams to facilitate timely guest pickups and drop-offs, ensuring a cohesive and efficient service delivery.
• Sustainability: Embrace the resort’s commitment to sustainability by managing vehicle charging efficiently and promptly reporting any mechanical issues that may impact energy consumption or environmental performance.
• Brand Standards: Uphold Fairmont’s grooming and conduct standards, ensuring every guest interaction reflects the brand’s dedication to bespoke, heartfelt service and luxury excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality is considered an asset.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years in a guest-facing role within a luxury hotel or resort environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid Saudi Arabian driving license.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Arabic or additional languages is highly desirable to cater to a diverse, international clientele.
• Attitude: A creative mindset with a passion for guest relations, an eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and assist with heavy luggage as required.
• Additional Requirements:

  • Prior experience in pre-opening environments is essential.
