Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team in Haql on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and serving specialty coffee beverages while maintaining the high standards of quality and presentation that define Absolute Coffee. Your responsibilities will include operating espresso machines and brewing equipment, preparing light snacks and pastries, and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service excellence, and teamwork to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Coffee Preparation: Expertly operate espresso machines, brewing equipment, and other tools to prepare specialty coffee and espresso-based beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service to enhance the café experience.
• Food Handling: Prepare and serve light snacks, pastries, and café items with care, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation, including restocking supplies and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition.
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues during peak service times and participating in café opening and closing procedures.
• Operational Support: Assist with restocking inventory, maintaining café cleanliness, and upholding health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and welcoming space for guests and staff.

Qualifications and Skills

• Coffee Expertise: Proven experience in coffee preparation, including espresso-based drinks and specialty beverages, with a keen interest in the art and science of coffee.
• Customer-Centric Mindset: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to create a welcoming atmosphere and build lasting relationships with guests.
• Attention to Detail: A commitment to precision in beverage preparation, presentation, and service to ensure consistency and quality.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle fast-paced service times, and perform tasks that require dexterity and coordination.
• Safety and Compliance: Adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and equipment operation.
• Adaptability: A willingness to learn and grow, with a genuine enthusiasm for specialty coffee and hospitality. Previous café or hospitality experience is beneficial but not mandatory for motivated candidates.
