Key Responsibilities

The Senior Project Controls Manager will play a critical role in shaping the success of our projects by executing a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including:

• Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop, implement, and maintain robust project schedules using industry-leading tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Ensure alignment with project milestones, resource allocation, and critical path analysis to optimize project execution.
• Cost Control and Budget Management: Establish and monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and forecast financial performance. Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and organizational policies.
• Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify potential project risks, assess their impact, and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure risks are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Performance Reporting and Analytics: Generate accurate and timely project reports, including earned value management (EVM) metrics, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide stakeholders with actionable insights to support informed decision-making.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Serve as a liaison between project teams, senior management, and clients. Facilitate clear and consistent communication to ensure alignment on project objectives, progress, and challenges.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Implement quality control measures to uphold the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and deliverable excellence.
• Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and lead a high-performing team of project controls professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to drive team and organizational success.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP, or CCP) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project controls, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role within the engineering or construction sector.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of project controls software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP) and strong analytical skills. Familiarity with industry standards such as AACE International’s Recommended Practice No. 18R-97 is a plus.
• Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
