Patient Care Technician

Job Purpose / Objective

Support nursing staff in delivering direct and indirect patient care within the assigned area. Coordinate with physicians and patients/families, and maintain a clean, well-organized clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Prepare and maintain clinic/environment cleanliness and supplies.
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and equipment arrangement.
• Coordinate clinic activities and patient flow.
• Complete required documents (claims, referrals, etc.) accurately and timely.
• Track patient status and assist with lab, radiology, and other services.
• Process admissions and referrals accurately and timely.
• Handle telephone calls, messages, and general enquiries professionally.
• Adhere to JCIA/CBAHI standards, nursing documentation policy, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
• Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures when needed.
• Provide patient/family education and maintain required competency.
• Adhere to punctuality, attendance, infection control, and dress code policies.
• Perform nursing procedures within the scope of practice and answer patient questions.
• Attend meetings and educational activities, and report observations/concerns to supervisors.
• Guide patients to relevant areas for investigations and participate in person-centered care initiatives.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other applicable tasks assigned within the realm of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree of Science and passing PCT Program.
• Preferably with healthcare experience; fresh graduates with interest in healthcare are acceptable.
• Valid Saudi Council certification and BLS Certification.
