Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner – Product Costing to support our Supply Chain operations by delivering precise, data-driven insights and analysis. This role is pivotal in providing financial transparency and robust business modeling across the organization, while facilitating informed decision-making in collaboration with all departments. Key Responsibilities
Planning, Target Setting & Cost Modeling
- Define and track material cost targets, including vendor tooling and supplier risk assessments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Establish commodity and part-level cost targets that reflect the business plan and market conditions.
- Ensure the accuracy and governance of Bill of Materials (BoM) structures and costing methodologies.
- Manage BoM tracking to maintain structural integrity and sourcing alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and validate comprehensive cost models that incorporate raw material fluctuations, weight considerations, sourcing strategies, and engineering or design modifications.
- Maintain vehicle and model-level cost targets based on volume mix and production forecasts.
Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, comparing actual performance against budget and forecast to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis to provide root cause insights and actionable recommendations for management review.
- Consolidate and reconcile financial data across multiple planning cycles to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Investment Analysis & Business Case Development
- Develop Return on Investment (ROI) and Net Present Value (NPV) analyses for supplier investments and cost optimization initiatives.
- Build profitability models, including payback period and return metrics, to evaluate the financial viability of projects.
- Support senior management in making data-driven decisions through structured financial evaluations and scenario modeling.
Cost Optimization & Benchmarking
- Conduct benchmarking studies to assess cost competitiveness and identify best practices across the industry.
- Support cost reduction initiatives, such as Total Value Management (TVM) and Change Control processes, to drive efficiency improvements.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for cost savings and operational enhancements to enhance profitability.
Business Partnering & Decision Support
- Collaborate closely with Sourcing, Engineering, and Operations teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Support material demand planning and sourcing strategies with financial insights and risk assessments.
- Provide timely financial analysis, recommendations, and decision support to key stakeholders across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or related roles.
- Demonstrated technical, quantitative, and critical-thinking abilities, with a high level of independent judgment and initiative.
- Proven capacity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to senior management.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments autonomously while maintaining accountability for results.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to leverage financial modeling tools and techniques.
- Prior experience as a Finance Analyst in an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Supplier environment is highly advantageous.
