Operations Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at the HOYER Middle East office located in Al-Jubail. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing operational activities, ensuring the efficient processing of filling orders, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of 10-20 employees across day and night shifts, ensuring adherence to work instructions, safety protocols, and operational standards. Foster a culture of accountability, punctuality, and teamwork.
• Operational Execution: Oversee the proper execution of all operational activities, including the handling of hazardous liquid chemicals. Coordinate the arrangement of trucks and tanks to facilitate seamless operations and meet delivery schedules.
• Safety and Compliance: Uphold rigorous safety standards by ensuring compliance with plant safety protocols, PPE requirements, and emergency response procedures. Participate in regular safety training and immediately report any SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) incidents to the Operations Manager.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor operational processes to ensure adherence to quality requirements and SHEQ systems. Conduct timely checks and maintain accurate records to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resource Management: Optimize the utilization of resources, time, and available space to enhance operational efficiency. Schedule maintenance activities for equipment to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed operational reports, including data on process parameters, equipment performance, and team productivity. Maintain accurate records of chemical samples collected from pipelines prior to filling operations.
• Equipment Operation: Operate essential equipment such as drum filling machines, forklifts, and weighbridges as required to support team operations. Ensure all equipment is used in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
• Order Execution: Facilitate the timely execution of orders while adhering to established procedures. Monitor filling processes and report any deviations or issues to the Operations Manager for prompt resolution.
• Communication and Coordination: Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, Operations Manager, and other stakeholders. Utilize MS Office tools, including email and reporting software, to ensure seamless information flow and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Diploma certificate or higher in a relevant field.
• Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of heavy equipment such as forklifts, with a preference for candidates holding a forklift license. Basic material knowledge and familiarity with hazardous chemical handling are essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication in a multinational work environment.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar operational environment, particularly in chemical handling. Demonstrated awareness of hazardous chemical handling protocols and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) comprehension is required.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work flexibly across shifts and adapt to changing operational demands.
