Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding existing structures, utilities, and properties while supporting the seamless progression of construction activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Construction Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of site conditions prior to the commencement of construction activities to verify alignment with designed permanent works and identify any potential obstructions or challenges.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Photograph, document, and record the condition of existing properties, utilities, and structures that may be affected by construction activities. Maintain detailed records to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Protection of Existing Assets: Ensure that existing structures, properties, utilities, and landscaping are adequately protected during all phases of construction, mitigating risks and preserving the integrity of the surrounding environment.
  • Material and Equipment Verification: Review materials, equipment, and products delivered to the site to ensure compliance with approved submittals, samples, and specifications. Report any non-conformance issues promptly to prevent delays or quality compromises.
  • Material Handling and Storage: Verify that all materials are handled, stored, and protected in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer recommendations to maintain their integrity and performance.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Inspect both temporary and permanent works to ensure strict adherence to Contract Documents, approved shop drawings, and technical submittals, thereby upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain accurate daily site logs, inspection reports, test records, and documentation of executed work in compliance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
  • Safety and Progress Monitoring: Monitor site safety practices and construction progress, identifying any deviations or safety concerns and escalating them to the appropriate parties to ensure a secure and efficient work environment.
  • Punch List Preparation: Assist in the inspection of completed works and contribute to the preparation of punch lists to ensure all project deliverables meet the required standards before handover.
  • Start-Up and Commissioning Support: Monitor and support start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operational phases.
  • Project Support: Perform any additional duties assigned by the Project Manager to support the achievement of project objectives and deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of hands-on experience in civil construction inspection, preferably within building projects and in a consultant-led environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in construction standards, codes, and specifications, with a strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional reporting and communication abilities to effectively liaise with stakeholders, document findings, and ensure clarity across all project phases.

If you are a motivated professional with a passion for excellence and a commitment to sustainable development, we invite you to apply and become part of a team that is shaping the future of infrastructure in the Middle East.
