Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Registrar to join our dynamic healthcare team at Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key member of our Pediatric Department, responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and contributing to the overall health and well-being of our young patients. Key Responsibilities

The Pediatric Registrar will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive pediatric care. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough examinations of pediatric patients, taking detailed medical histories, and accurately diagnosing injuries, illnesses, or developmental concerns.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Design and execute individualized care plans for patients, ensuring alignment with clinical guidelines and best practices. This includes prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing evidence-based treatment options.
  • Patient Education and Counseling: Empower patients and their families with essential knowledge on health promotion, disease prevention, proper medication use, and lifestyle modifications tailored to their specific needs.
  • Investigation Management: Order and meticulously review diagnostic investigations, ensuring timely and accurate interpretation to inform patient care decisions.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records in adherence to Nahdi Care Clinics’ policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including those set by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI).
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong, cooperative working relationships with colleagues across departments, local agencies, vendors, and families to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Quality Improvement and Professional Development: Actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and program evaluations to uphold and enhance clinical standards. Contribute to the mentorship and professional growth of junior staff through educational rounds, conferences, lectures, and journal clubs.
  • Adherence to Standards: Strictly comply with Nahdi Care Clinics’ mission, vision, strategic plan, and all applicable policies, as well as CBAHI and MOH quality standards and regulations. Ensure full compliance with fire safety requirements and departmental attendance policies.
  • Specialty-Specific Duties: Perform additional tasks and procedures aligned with your clinical privileges, training, and experience, as outlined by the Saudi Health Council and NCC guidelines.

Work Environment and Schedule

This position is based in a fully indoor clinical setting at Nahdi Care Clinics in Riyadh. The role operates on a structured schedule of six working days per week, with one designated day off. Working hours are eight net hours per day, as per the shift schedule approved by the Head of Department, ensuring a balanced and sustainable work-life integration.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized university is required. A Master’s degree in Pediatrics or a related specialty from an accredited institution, or Fellowship approval from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of postgraduate clinical experience in Pediatrics, following the completion of a Master’s degree or eligibility to sit for board examinations in the specialty.
  • Licensure: Active and valid registration as a Pediatric Registrar with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in office software applications and health information systems to support clinical documentation and patient management.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Arabic, with strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
