QA/QC Manager (Fit-Out Project)

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned QA/QC Manager to oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities for a prestigious fit-out project. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for executing the Project Quality Plan (PQP), ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, client expectations, regulatory standards, and ISO 9001 requirements throughout every phase of the project. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and establish clear, measurable quality objectives aligned with project goals.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Documentation & Compliance: Review, approve, and manage critical quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, material submittals, and compliance reports to ensure alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and third-party agencies to ensure consistent quality standards and timely inspections.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze quality performance metrics, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and inspection approval rates, to identify trends and implement proactive improvements.
• Quality Oversight: Oversee all fit-out activities, including architectural finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, painting, glazing, MEP interfaces, and final handover, ensuring adherence to design intent and industry best practices.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit comprehensive quality reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), audit findings, and handover documentation to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 15 years of progressive QA/QC experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role on fit-out or interior finishing projects.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, quality management systems, ITPs, inspection protocols, and NCR management processes.
• Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work effectively with consultants, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve common quality objectives.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership capabilities with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate complex quality concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Certification (Preferred): CQI-IRCA ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is a valuable asset.
