We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NOC Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities
The NOC Engineer will be responsible for the following core functions:
- Network Monitoring & Event Handling: Proactively monitor signaling pathways, routing behaviors, SIM flows, OSS hooks, and cross-core interactions to identify and resolve issues impacting satellite services.
- Incident Management: Respond to network alarms, analyze logs, traces, and routing tables, and perform event correlations to diagnose and resolve incidents efficiently.
- Telecom Connectivity Flows: Monitor and troubleshoot SIM activation, attach procedures, mobility, and authentication processes to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Multi-Vendor NOC Operations: Collaborate with internal teams and partner NOCs to manage incident workflows, escalations, and resolution processes across diverse network environments.
- Satellite Network Support: Provide hands-on support for satellite network components, gateways, and hybrid RAN-core flows, ensuring optimal performance and service continuity.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and network performance metrics using OSS/NMS tools, dashboards, and documentation platforms.
- Shift-Based Support: Demonstrate adaptability to shift-based schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to provide 24/7 coverage for critical network operations.
Qualifications & Skills
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIS are highly advantageous and demonstrate expertise in networking and telecom operations.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in NOC operations, telecom monitoring, satellite operations, or core-network support.
- Hands-on experience with signaling flows (e.g., Diameter, SIP, NAS), routing fundamentals, and authentication paths in mobile-core environments.
- Proven track record in analyzing logs, traces, routing tables, and event correlations across network elements to identify root causes of issues.
- Experience working in multi-vendor NOC environments, managing incident workflows, and coordinating with partner NOCs for escalations and resolutions.
Technical Proficiency
The successful candidate will possess expertise in the following technologies and tools:
- NOC and OSS/NMS Tools: Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, SolarWinds, or equivalent platforms for monitoring and network management.
- Logging & Analysis Tools: Elastic, Splunk, Kibana, and Wireshark for log analysis, packet inspection, and troubleshooting.
- Ticketing/ITSM Tools: ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy for incident tracking, resolution, and documentation.
- Scripting & Automation: Basic proficiency in Python or Bash for automating repetitive tasks and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Network Fundamentals: Strong understanding of signaling protocols, routing behaviors, SIM activation processes, and satellite network components.
- Operating Systems: Hands-on experience with Linux environments and troubleshooting tools.
