Sr. Manager, HCC Middle East

Position Overview

Johnson & Johnson, a global leader in healthcare innovation, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager, HCC Middle East to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, or Dubai, UAE. This critical role will serve as the Healthcare Compliance Officer for the Middle East region, providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure ethical business conduct, robust risk management, and full compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and internal policies across DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s reputation while enabling sustainable growth in one of the world’s most dynamic and highly regulated markets.

Key Responsibilities

As the Sr. Manager, HCC Middle East, you will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Strategic Compliance Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive healthcare compliance strategies that align with global and regional priorities, ensuring robust governance across commercial, promotional, professional education, and operational activities.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks associated with business activities, providing proactive guidance to leadership on ethical decision-making and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with country and cluster leadership, Legal, business stakeholders, and regional/global Compliance teams to integrate compliance controls into business processes and go-to-market models.
• Program Oversight: Lead the implementation and monitoring of core compliance programs, including training, risk assessments, issue management, and monitoring activities across the Middle East region.
• Regulatory Engagement: Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and industry trends to anticipate emerging risks, and collaborate with Legal and other functions to support investigations, audits, and interactions with health authorities.
• Leadership and Culture: Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct, encouraging a speak-up environment and ensuring adherence to Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and compliance standards.
• Reporting and Insights: Prepare and present compliance risk assessments, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making and strategic alignment.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or professional certification in Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Ethics is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management, audit, or a related field, with a strong focus on multi-country or cluster-level compliance programs.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and industry codes applicable to Middle East markets, including familiarity with local health authority requirements and global best practices.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to partner effectively with senior business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, demonstrating strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex compliance concepts clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
