Position Overview: Bid Writer (Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join our dynamic team and lead the development of high-impact bids, tenders, expressions of interest (EOIs), and proposals for cultural heritage, archaeology, and advisory projects across international markets. This fully remote role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including government authorities, major developers, NGOs, and private firms, to secure new business and advance our mission of heritage preservation.
As a key member of our global team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping proposals that align with our clients’ strategic goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your work will directly contribute to the growth and success of Chronicle Heritage International, enabling us to deliver transformative solutions in the heritage sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Bid Development: Lead the end-to-end preparation of bids, tenders, EOIs, and proposals, ensuring they are strategically aligned, compelling, and compliant with client requirements.
- Content Creation: Craft clear, persuasive, and technically accurate written responses that effectively communicate our expertise and value proposition to clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate inputs from technical specialists, partners, and senior leadership to ensure cohesive and high-quality proposals.
- Pricing and Financial Inputs: Develop and refine pricing strategies in collaboration with senior staff to ensure competitive and sustainable bids.
- Bid Management: Maintain and update bid libraries, templates, and CVs to streamline proposal development and ensure consistency across submissions.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor bid outcomes, analyze feedback, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance future submissions.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in bid writing, proposal management, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional written communication skills in English, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to distill complex technical information into client-focused, engaging narratives.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment with international teams.
- Experience in the heritage, archaeology, environmental, or consultancy sectors is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with international or Middle Eastern procurement processes.
- An advanced degree in a heritage-related discipline or a related field.
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, to manage client relationships and bid pipelines.
