We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Controller to lead the financial operations of our prestigious property in Al Hamra District, Southern Corniche, Jeddah. Key Responsibilities

The Controller will play a critical role in shaping the financial trajectory of the property by executing the following core responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Act as the primary financial advisor to property leadership, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and maximize return on investment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with the property’s business plan and the brand’s long-term vision.
  • Analyze financial data, market trends, and operational performance to identify opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and revenue enhancement.
  • Create and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with projected sales, expenses, and capital investments while maintaining fiscal discipline.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against projections, conducting variance analysis to proactively address discrepancies and refine forecasting models.
• Accounting and Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee the integrity of financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) reports.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate seamless audit processes, addressing findings promptly and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax obligations, including the accurate calculation, collection, and remittance of applicable taxes in accordance with local regulations.
• Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide visionary leadership to the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively, assigning clear ownership of financial tasks while empowering team members to achieve performance targets.
  • Mentor and develop finance professionals, aligning their growth with the property’s strategic goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Communicate financial objectives, priorities, and expectations with clarity and precision to ensure alignment across all departments.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, including property owners, corporate leadership, and external partners, providing transparent and actionable financial insights.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate performance trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and address the financial needs of stakeholders, ensuring alignment with their expectations and the property’s strategic objectives.
  • Champion ethical financial practices and integrity, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and compliance.
• Policy and Process Optimization:
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline financial processes and ensure consistency across the property.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive operational excellence.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and accounting to ensure the property remains at the forefront of financial management.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A 4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of two years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or a related professional field is required.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or management role within the hospitality, real estate, or corporate finance sector is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis is essential.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and audit processes is mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
