Key Responsibilities

As a Food Runner at Marriott International, Inc., your primary responsibilities will include:

• Order Delivery: Promptly and accurately deliver food orders from the kitchen to designated tables, ensuring that each dish reaches guests in a timely and presentable manner.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional service to guests, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding their orders or dining experience.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to maintain smooth operations and ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining areas.
• Table Maintenance: Assist in clearing tables, resetting them for new guests, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment in accordance with Marriott’s high standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect delivered orders for accuracy, presentation, and adherence to food safety protocols before serving guests.
• Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in handling peak dining periods, special events, or last-minute changes while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
• Communication: Relay any issues or special requests from guests to the appropriate staff members to ensure their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
• A keen attention to detail to ensure orders are accurate and presented correctly.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and carry trays or dishes for extended periods.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic is preferred, though not mandatory for all positions.
