Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service standards. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to ensure operational efficiency.
• Public Area Maintenance: Oversee the daily cleaning, sanitization, and upkeep of all public spaces, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, and recreational areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness, presentation, and functionality of public areas. Address any deficiencies promptly and implement corrective measures to maintain high standards.
• Inventory and Supply Management: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment and cost-effective resource utilization.
• Guest Interaction and Service Excellence: Act as a point of contact for guest inquiries or concerns related to public areas. Address issues professionally and escalate complex matters to senior management when necessary.
• Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing staff on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and service standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk, maintenance, and security, to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive guest experience. Attend daily briefings and contribute to departmental meetings.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to AccorHotels’ brand standards, local regulations, and sustainability initiatives. Promote eco-friendly practices where applicable.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality, business management, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in housekeeping or public area supervision within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Leadership Abilities: Proven track record in leading and developing teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for cleanliness, organization, and presentation, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, implement solutions, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with housekeeping management systems, cleaning equipment, and safety protocols.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English; additional languages, particularly Arabic, are highly desirable.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 kg for extended periods. Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Location and Commitment
