Junior Accountant

Position Overview

We are partnering with a leading Investment organisation based in Riyadh to recruit a motivated Junior Accountant or recent graduate to join their dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for a range of critical accounting tasks, including:

• Maintaining the General Ledger: Ensuring the general ledger is updated accurately and in a timely manner to reflect all financial transactions.
• Journal Entries: Preparing and posting journal entries under the guidance of senior finance professionals.
• Financial Closing Support: Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and efficiently.
• Payment Processing: Executing bank transfers and payment-related activities in strict adherence to company policies and approval workflows.
• Reconciliations: Supporting bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Providing assistance with accounts payable and receivable processes as needed to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Documentation and Filing: Ensuring proper filing and documentation of accounting records, payments, and transfers to support audit trails and compliance.
• Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborating with internal departments to gather invoices, approvals, and supporting documents required for financial transactions.
• Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of basic financial reports and schedules to support decision-making processes.
• Compliance and Controls: Ensuring adherence to company policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards to maintain financial integrity.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of relevant experience in accounting or finance are encouraged to apply. Prior internship or cooperative training experience in a similar field is highly beneficial.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential to effectively communicate and collaborate within the organisation.
• Technical Skills: A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required.
• Soft Skills: Candidates should demonstrate high attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organisational abilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information are also critical.
