Key Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping activities, managing staff performance, and ensuring compliance with Marriott’s rigorous cleanliness protocols. Your duties will include:

• Operational Oversight: Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to deliver timely and high-quality cleaning services for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. Ensure adherence to Marriott’s standards and local regulations.
• Staff Management: Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching to housekeeping team members to foster a productive and motivated workforce. Conduct regular evaluations and address any operational or personnel challenges proactively.
• Inventory and Supply Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of housekeeping supplies and equipment. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Guest Experience Enhancement: Act as a liaison between housekeeping and guest services to promptly resolve any cleanliness-related concerns. Uphold Marriott’s commitment to guest satisfaction by ensuring rooms and public spaces meet or exceed expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in housekeeping or a related role within the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or coordinating capacity.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to cleanliness and an unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and guests.
