Our comprehensive offerings include licensed process technologies, strategic advisory services, specialized technical expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and intelligent optimization tools for both planned and operational assets. We are currently seeking a highly skilled RCM Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in establishing and governing the Total Reliability Program Framework for refinery assets throughout their remaining lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

As an RCM Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing critical reliability initiatives to ensure operational excellence and asset integrity. Your core duties will include:

  • Framework Development: Design and implement a robust framework and methodology for criticality assessment and reliability improvement programs tailored to refinery assets.
  • Asset Criticality Analysis: Lead and conduct comprehensive Asset Criticality Analysis for all refinery assets, ensuring accurate identification of high-priority equipment and systems.
  • Data Collection & Assessment: Gather and analyze data for criticality assessments, facilitate Asset Criticality Assessment workshops, compile findings into detailed reports, and ensure seamless data integration into SAP with supporting documentation.
  • Reliability Methodologies: Champion the implementation of advanced reliability methodologies across all asset types by establishing and sustaining reliability programs to drive operational excellence.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical authority for reliability culture development, providing guidance to project teams and operating facilities to safeguard asset reliability throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Administer and execute Asset Lifecycle Management procedures, including Asset Criticality Ranking, SAP Taxonomy, Asset Operating Limits (IOW), Asset Maintenance Development Procedures, Master Data Development in SAP, Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP, and SAP-PM Implementation and effectiveness.
  • Specialized Studies & Consultation: Initiate and conduct essential studies to enhance facility and operational asset performance. Provide expert technical consultation on complex engineering challenges, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver specialized services in relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Safety-Critical Equipment Assurance: Adapt lessons learned from industry benchmarks and safety cases to recommend continuous improvement methodologies for Safety-Critical Equipment, ensuring robust mitigation of potential threats in major hazard scenarios.
  • Integrity & Performance Analysis: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze asset integrity and performance, identify chronic failure patterns, and propose preventive measures. Support the review of Total Reliability Program KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Report directly to the Project Manager and lead the Reliability section to deliver periodic outcomes, progress updates, and weekly/fortnightly reports on project advancements. Work closely with the project execution team to ensure full alignment and commitment to the Reliability Transformation Program, a critical factor for the success of this initiative.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline with a strong foundation in technical principles.
  • Industry Expertise: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related industries, with a proven track record in refinery processes and reliability engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in static and rotating equipment, instrumentation, electrical systems, and their failure modes. Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Methodologies: Training in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) methodologies, such as Apollo Root Cause Analysis by Reality Charting, with the ability to facilitate RCFA and Advanced Causal Analysis (ACA) processes.
  • Operational Experience: Familiarity with operations, maintenance, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities is essential for seamless integration into project execution phases.
