Key Responsibilities

The Lead Maintenance Services Representative will oversee and execute comprehensive line maintenance activities for aircraft IFEC systems and related equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor a team of line station employees. Your responsibilities will include:

• Aircraft Maintenance and IFEC Systems:
  • Lead, perform, and certify line maintenance tasks, including IFEC systems, during transit checks in accordance with contractual obligations and Panasonic Line Maintenance Procedures (LMP).
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems to identify and rectify defects, ensuring full functionality is restored within authorized limits.
  • Remove and replace Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) in compliance with approved documentation and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct cabin sweeps, Built-in Test (BIT), and manual testing to verify system performance.
  • Assist with software and media loading to ensure systems are up-to-date and operational.
  • Perform defect rectification on airframe, engine, and systems as required by contractual obligations.
  • Clean components and equipment racks in accordance with company and contractual procedures.
  • Complete all aircraft documentation accurately and in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Team Leadership and Operations:
  • Mentor, coach, and allocate daily tasks to line station employees, optimizing resource utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Lead station operations, ensuring high standards of quality and adherence to Panasonic and Airline Quality Assurance (QA) processes.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and management to escalate and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Actively promote a strong Safety Management System (SMS) culture within the team.
• Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as a liaison between Panasonic Avionics Corporation and airline customers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor system performance against contractual levels and proactively address any deviations.
  • Certify all maintenance work completed under company or airline-issued authority, adhering to governing regulations.
• Additional Duties:
  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • Work on other aircraft equipment as trained and authorized, expanding technical expertise and versatility.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a focus on IFEC systems or related avionics.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FAA, EASA, or other aviation authorities.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using basic computer and electronic theories, as well as test equipment.
  • Experience with software and media loading, BIT, and manual testing procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and develop line station employees.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to safety and quality assurance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Certifications:
  • Valid aircraft maintenance license or certification (e.g., EASA Part-66, FAA A&P) is a plus.
  • Certification in Safety Management Systems (SMS) is advantageous.
