Role Overview

The Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, managing, and securing Albawani’s network infrastructure across multiple sites and projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This position is critical to ensuring seamless, high-performance connectivity for corporate offices, remote sites, and joint venture environments. The Network Engineer will collaborate closely with IT operations, cybersecurity teams, and external vendors to uphold network reliability, scalability, and compliance with national cybersecurity frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design & Deployment: Develop and implement LAN/WAN, MPLS, VPN, and wireless network architectures tailored to Albawani’s diverse operational needs, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Network Optimization & Security: Establish and enforce network segmentation, Quality of Service (QoS) policies, and redundancy mechanisms (e.g., HSRP, VRRP) to enhance performance and reliability. Implement robust security measures, including firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Access Control Lists (ACLs), in alignment with cybersecurity best practices.
• Performance & Capacity Management: Conduct continuous performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning to preemptively address bottlenecks and ensure uninterrupted network operations.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including topology diagrams, IP schemas, and configuration records. Ensure adherence to national cybersecurity frameworks such as NCA, ISO 27001, and NIST standards in collaboration with the cybersecurity team.
• Issue Resolution & Disaster Recovery: Perform root cause analysis for network issues to minimize downtime and coordinate with ISPs and vendors for timely resolution. Assist in the planning, testing, and execution of disaster recovery strategies from a network perspective.
• Cloud & Hybrid Connectivity: Support hybrid connectivity solutions for cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, ensuring seamless integration and secure data transfer between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Vendor & Technology Management: Collaborate with external vendors and system integrators to support infrastructure enhancements, manage hardware/software upgrades, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and performance improvements. Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and recommend strategic advancements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years in network engineering within medium to large-scale enterprise environments, with hands-on expertise in LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, and wireless technologies.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications: CCNA certification is required; CCNP certification is highly preferred. Additional certifications such as Network+, HCIA, or cybersecurity credentials (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE) are advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of enterprise network security, firewalls, and compliance with national cybersecurity frameworks (NCA). Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) is a valuable asset.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
