Manager Process

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager Process to oversee the comprehensive development, review, and approval of treatment process designs. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring alignment with Employer's Requirements, Technical Specifications, Contract Documents, and Design Basis while establishing and maintaining robust Process Design Basis (PDB) standards. Your expertise will drive the creation and validation of critical process documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and detailed balance calculations.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager Process will lead the following core activities:

• Design Basis and Specifications: Review and approve Employer's Requirements, Technical Specifications, Contract Documents, and Design Basis to ensure all process designs meet contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Process Design Basis (PDB): Establish, review, and maintain the PDB to provide a consistent framework for all process design activities.
• Process Documentation Development: Oversee the creation and review of essential process documentation, including:
  • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
  • Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Mass Balance and Water Balance calculations
  • Hydraulic Profiles
  • Chemical Balance and Process Calculations
• Equipment and System Sizing: Conduct and validate detailed calculations for:
  • Equipment sizing, including tanks, pumps, and membrane systems
  • Pump duty and performance requirements
  • Chemical dosing parameters
  • Sludge generation estimates
  • Air requirement and energy consumption assessments
• Process Design Criteria: Define and enforce process design criteria for each treatment unit to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
• Performance and Compliance: Review process guarantees and performance requirements to ensure designs meet or exceed contractual obligations. Validate that all processes adhere to applicable standards, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in process design and management within the water treatment, wastewater treatment, or industrial process sectors. Proficiency in industry-standard software tools for process simulation and design, such as AutoCAD, Aspen HYSYS, or similar platforms, is essential. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills are critical, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and regulatory bodies. Certification in process engineering or a related discipline is a plus.
