Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers to develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry best practices.
• Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or Cypress) to enhance test coverage and efficiency while reducing manual testing efforts.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and verification.
• Performance & Security Testing: Conduct rigorous performance, load, and security testing to validate system scalability, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine QA processes to improve efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and enhance overall software quality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, review requirements, and ensure seamless integration of QA activities into the development lifecycle.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all testing activities adhere to industry regulations (e.g., ISO, GxP, or HIPAA) and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and reports for audit purposes.
• Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of emerging QA methodologies, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Agile/Scrum) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role. Experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or data analytics domain is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG), scripting languages (Python, Java, or JavaScript), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Tools & Platforms: Proficiency with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla), test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr), and performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter).
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex systems, identify root causes of defects, and propose effective solutions.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with quality standards and compliance requirements in software development, particularly in regulated industries.
