Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer at Rakaez Al-Memar Consultancy Company, your core responsibilities will include:

• System Design and Development: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and implement mechanical systems, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, fire protection, and industrial machinery. Ensure designs comply with local and international codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Technical Analysis and Simulation: Utilize advanced engineering software and tools to conduct thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics analyses to validate system performance, efficiency, and safety. Perform simulations to identify potential risks and optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
• Project Coordination and Execution: Oversee the implementation of mechanical systems from inception to completion, working closely with contractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure seamless execution. Prepare detailed project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications while monitoring progress to mitigate delays or deviations.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all mechanical installations adhere to regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and quality standards. Conduct thorough inspections, tests, and audits to verify compliance and address any non-conformities promptly.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies in mechanical engineering to enhance system efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and drive innovation within the company. Recommend and implement improvements to existing processes and designs.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a technical advisor to clients, architects, and other stakeholders, providing clear and concise explanations of mechanical system requirements, limitations, and benefits. Address inquiries and resolve technical challenges to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, or HVAC certification) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in designing and managing mechanical systems for large-scale projects. Experience in the construction or consultancy sector is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, ETABS, or similar tools. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and energy modeling software is a plus.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex technical data, identify issues, and develop practical, efficient solutions. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, liaise with cross-functional departments, and present technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera is beneficial.
• Licensing and Compliance: Valid engineering license (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers registration) and a commitment to adhering to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of the role.
