Key Responsibilities

As an Accountant at Moore JFC Group, your core responsibilities will include:

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and subsidiary accounts, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, customer billing, and reconciliation of accounts to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory filings, while ensuring adherence to local tax laws and regulations to mitigate risks and avoid penalties.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment, with exposure to financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models and reports.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial data interpretation.
