Job Overview

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic insights to support the company’s financial health and growth. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions. Post journal entries and verify financial data for integrity.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer billing. Ensure timely and accurate settlements to maintain strong vendor and client relationships.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory obligations. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts. Provide actionable recommendations to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits. Prepare audit schedules, gather required documentation, and address any audit findings promptly.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Present insights to senior management to support data-driven decision-making.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and implement best practices to enhance accuracy, speed, and compliance. Recommend and deploy accounting software or tools as needed.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and human resources, to ensure seamless financial operations and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software. Familiarity with financial reporting tools and data visualization platforms is advantageous.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex financial data to derive meaningful insights. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies or risks.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ethical Standards: Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics. Adherence to corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
• Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs and regulatory changes.
