Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Managing Director to lead the strategic and operational excellence of The Avenues Riyadh, a premier destination under the esteemed Hilton brand. This pivotal role demands a seasoned leader with a proven track record in luxury hospitality, retail management, and business development to drive growth, enhance guest experiences, and ensure sustainable profitability in one of the Middle East’s most iconic mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute high-impact strategies to position The Avenues Riyadh as the leading luxury retail and hospitality destination in the region, aligning with Hilton’s global standards and regional market dynamics.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations across all facets of the property, including luxury retail outlets, hospitality services, food and beverage outlets, and entertainment venues, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Financial Performance: Drive revenue growth and profitability through innovative business models, cost optimization, and revenue management strategies, while maintaining rigorous financial discipline and transparency.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government entities, luxury brand partners, and local communities, to foster collaboration and long-term partnerships.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability. Mentor and develop talent to ensure operational readiness and succession planning.
• Brand Excellence: Uphold and elevate the Hilton brand reputation by implementing world-class service standards, leveraging digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring compliance with global hospitality best practices.
• Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the luxury retail and hospitality sectors, including potential expansions, partnerships, or innovative revenue streams to enhance the property’s competitive edge.
• Risk Management: Proactively assess and mitigate risks related to operations, security, health and safety, and regulatory compliance to safeguard guests, employees, and assets.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, retail, or mixed-use developments, with at least 7 years in a senior executive role such as General Manager, Regional Director, or equivalent.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Middle Eastern luxury market, with a strong network among high-net-worth individuals, luxury brands, and key industry players.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a passion for driving innovation and operational excellence.
• Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, and revenue optimization within a luxury hospitality or retail environment.
• Cultural Competence: Fluency in English and Arabic, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in hospitality management systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and data analytics tools to drive informed decision-making.
