Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Management: Oversee the end-to-end process of invoice generation, validation, and distribution to ensure timely and accurate billing for all customer transactions.
• Cash Application: Lead the cash application team to reconcile payments, resolve discrepancies, and apply cash to customer accounts promptly, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
• Receivables Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging, identify overdue accounts, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement proactive collection strategies while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Process Optimization: Analyze current invoice-to-cash processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or areas for automation, and propose data-driven solutions to enhance operational performance and reduce cycle times.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to financial policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls while generating accurate reports for senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to a team of associates, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration to meet departmental and organizational goals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the accounts receivable department, sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve complex billing issues and align on best practices for customer satisfaction and revenue recognition.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, invoice-to-cash processes, or a related financial function, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven expertise in financial software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret financial data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate teams, delegate tasks, and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry billing practices and regulatory standards is advantageous but not mandatory.
