Application Manager – Drive Strategic Business Technology Transformation

Alshiaka is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Application Manager to spearhead the strategic oversight, implementation, and continuous optimization of our core business applications. In this pivotal role, you will ensure seamless integration, operational excellence, and alignment of our ERP, Point-of-Sale (POS), and other critical platforms with evolving business needs. As the driving force behind our application ecosystem, you will lead end-to-end lifecycle management—from initial deployment to ongoing enhancements—while fostering collaboration across finance, operations, sales, supply chain, and IT teams. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Application Leadership: Oversee the full lifecycle of ERP, POS, and other critical business applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain high availability, performance, security, and data integrity across all integrated systems, including ERP, POS, payment gateways, inventory, financial, and e-commerce platforms.
• Project & Implementation Management: Lead complex application implementation projects, from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, training, deployment, and post-implementation support. Ensure timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
• System Integration & Data Flow: Manage integrations between ERP, POS, payment systems, reporting tools, and other business platforms, ensuring seamless data synchronization and operational continuity.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with software vendors, implementation partners, and internal teams to negotiate contracts, manage licenses, and enforce service-level agreements (SLAs). Act as the primary liaison between technical and business stakeholders.
• Team Development: Mentor and lead a high-performing application support and implementation team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance application functionality, workflows, and business processes to align with evolving operational and strategic priorities.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, information security standards, and change-management procedures to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive system documentation, integration diagrams, configuration records, and user guides to facilitate training, troubleshooting, and future scalability.

Required Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in business applications, ERP systems, POS environments, or systems integrations, with a proven track record of delivering successful implementations.
• 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory, team-lead, or management capacity, demonstrating leadership in complex technical environments.
• Deep expertise in managing ERP and business applications across multi-departmental or multi-location settings, with a focus on finance, procurement, inventory, sales, and operational processes.
• Strong technical acumen in databases, APIs, web services, middleware, reporting tools, and data integrations, ensuring seamless system interoperability.
• A solid understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, with a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Fluency in Arabic is a significant advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following will strengthen your candidacy:

• Experience in the retail sector, particularly within multi-store POS environments, and familiarity with high-volume transactional systems.
• Proven expertise with leading ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or comparable solutions, along with exposure to payment, inventory, e-commerce, CRM, or loyalty systems.
• Certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, ITIL, or related frameworks that validate your project management and IT service delivery expertise.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, licenses, and SLAs, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
• Knowledge of cloud applications, cybersecurity controls, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical business operations.
