In this pivotal role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and team leader, overseeing the administration of complex contracts for industrial, commercial, and government clients—including federal, state, and local entities. • Contract Administration & Compliance: Lead the review, administration, and compliance activities for large-scale contracts, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. Apply deep expertise in FIDIC contracts and related frameworks to navigate complex project dynamics.
• Change Management & Claims: Manage change orders and claims administration with meticulous attention to detail, minimizing disputes and optimizing project outcomes. Leverage your experience to recommend solutions that align with client objectives and project timelines.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth contract execution. Provide guidance to junior administrators and mentor emerging professionals in best practices.
• Strategic Negotiation: Assist in negotiating terms and conditions, ensuring contracts reflect mutually beneficial agreements that support AECOM’s mission and client needs.
• Outsourcing & Resource Optimization: Evaluate outsourcing requirements and recommend cost-effective, high-impact solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert and, when applicable, lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Qualifications & Expertise

To thrive in this role, you will bring a robust blend of technical acumen and leadership experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in contract administration, with a strong focus on major rail or infrastructure projects. Demonstrated success in managing high-value contracts and navigating complex regulatory environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC contracts, change management principles, and claims administration. Proficiency in contract compliance, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or PMP (Project Management Professional), reflecting your commitment to excellence and industry standards.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to mentor junior professionals, drive cross-functional alignment, and foster a collaborative environment. Strong communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
