As a Senior Irrigation Engineer at Dar Al Riyadh, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and overseeing advanced irrigation strategies tailored to diverse agricultural landscapes. Your responsibilities will span from conceptualizing high-performance drip and sprinkler systems to integrating smart technologies for real-time water monitoring and automation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including agronomists, environmental scientists, and project managers—to ensure that irrigation solutions align with both operational excellence and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design & Innovation: Develop and optimize irrigation systems that maximize water use efficiency while minimizing waste, incorporating the latest in hydraulic modeling, soil science, and automation.
• Technical Leadership: Lead technical assessments, feasibility studies, and pilot projects to evaluate and deploy next-generation irrigation technologies, such as IoT-enabled sensors and AI-driven predictive analytics.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with farmers, government agencies, and industry experts to advocate for best practices in water conservation and advocate for policy changes that promote sustainable irrigation.
• Project Oversight: Manage end-to-end irrigation projects from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards while delivering measurable impact.
• Research & Development: Stay at the forefront of irrigation advancements by contributing to R&D initiatives, publishing insights, and presenting findings at industry forums.
• Training & Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation in irrigation practices.

What sets our ideal candidate apart is a blend of technical mastery and strategic vision. You should possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in Irrigation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale irrigation projects. Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, EPANET, or GIS platforms is essential, along with a strong understanding of local climate conditions and water scarcity challenges. Certifications in irrigation design or water management are a significant advantage.
