We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, to provide on-site technical expertise and ensure the smooth functioning of critical data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands Support: Provide hands-on technical assistance for cabling, power cycling, and hardware swaps to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Server Rack Management: Install, configure, and decommission server racks with precision, adhering to industry best practices and safety protocols.
• Networking and Cabling: Manage cross-connects and patch panels, ensuring optimal connectivity and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Hardware Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware-related problems efficiently, leveraging your expertise in server and networking technologies.
• Visual Inspections and Inventory Audits: Conduct thorough inspections and maintain accurate inventory records to ensure all equipment is accounted for and operational.
• Client Support Coordination: Escort and manage access for client visits, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for all stakeholders.
• Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties, including weekends and holidays, to address urgent requests and ensure rapid resolution of critical issues.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure, including server hardware, networking, and cabling standards.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing 25kg or more with ease.
• Reliable Transportation: Access to reliable transportation and proximity to local data center facilities to ensure timely response.
• Communication Skills: Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear and effective communication with team members and clients.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate urgent and emergency requests.

Nice to Have

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will further enhance your candidacy:

• Certifications: Possession of industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, or CCNA.
• Experience with Major Data Center Providers: Prior experience working with leading data center providers like Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, or CyrusOne.
• Structured Cabling Expertise: In-depth knowledge of fiber optics, Cat6 cabling, and Direct Attach Copper (DAC) technologies.
• Data Center or IT Infrastructure Experience: Extensive background in managing data center environments or IT infrastructure.
• Professionalism and Reliability: A track record of reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
