We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, to provide critical on-site technical support at local data center facilities. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands Support: Execute precise technical tasks such as cabling, power cycling, and hardware swaps with minimal latency to ensure rapid resolution of operational issues.
• Server Rack Management: Install, configure, and decommission server racks with meticulous attention to detail, adhering to industry best practices and safety protocols.
• Networking and Cabling: Manage cross-connects and patch panels, ensuring optimal connectivity and troubleshooting any anomalies to maintain seamless data flow.
• Hardware Diagnostics: Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostics of server hardware, identifying issues proactively to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
• Visual Inspections and Inventory Audits: Perform regular inspections and audits to verify the integrity of hardware, cabling, and infrastructure, documenting findings to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Client Support Coordination: Escort and facilitate access for client visits, ensuring a secure and professional environment while providing real-time support as needed.
• Emergency Response: Maintain on-call availability to address urgent requests, including weekends and holidays, demonstrating a commitment to 24/7 operational readiness.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• Hands-on Experience: Proven experience working within data center environments, with a strong understanding of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including familiarity with rack-mounted servers, networking equipment, and cabling methodologies (e.g., fiber optics, Cat6, DAC).
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 25kg, ensuring you can perform tasks safely and efficiently in a demanding environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling clear and concise interaction with clients, colleagues, and technical teams.
• Reliability and Availability: A track record of reliability, with the flexibility to work across varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of emergency response requirements.
• Proximity to Local Facilities: Residency or easy access to Khobar and proximity to local data center facilities to ensure timely on-site support.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will further enhance your candidacy:

• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, or CCNA, validating your expertise in data center and networking technologies.
• Experience with Major Providers: Prior experience working with leading data center providers, including Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, or CyrusOne, offering insights into large-scale infrastructure management.
• Structured Cabling Expertise: Advanced knowledge of structured cabling, including fiber optics and high-speed copper solutions, to ensure optimal connectivity and performance.
• Data Center or IT Infrastructure Experience: A background in data center operations, IT infrastructure management, or related fields, demonstrating a holistic understanding of the technical landscape.
• Professionalism and Adaptability: A reputation for professionalism, strong work ethic, and adaptability to evolving technological and operational demands.
