Key Responsibilities

Your work will encompass a broad spectrum of cost-related activities, ensuring financial transparency and accountability:

• Strategic Cost Planning & Budgeting: Develop, maintain, and refine project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts to align with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Real-Time Cost Monitoring: Track expenditures, commitments, and accruals against approved budgets, identifying variances, trends, and potential financial risks to inform proactive decision-making.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive cost reports, dashboards, and performance summaries that provide actionable insights for executive leadership and project teams.
• Change Management & Commercial Oversight: Evaluate design changes, scope modifications, and contractor submissions to assess cost impacts, ensuring alignment with project goals and commercial strategies.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) & Performance Metrics: Support EVM analysis and cost performance measurement, contributing to data-driven project evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Risk Mitigation & Contingency Planning: Identify cost risks, develop mitigation strategies, and conduct scenario analysis to safeguard project financial health and sustainability.
• Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure cohesive cost reporting, forecasting, and alignment with project schedules.
• Project Closeout & Financial Reconciliation: Assist in final account preparation, financial reconciliation, and post-project audits to ensure compliance and lessons learned for future initiatives.
• Value Engineering & Optimization: Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and value engineering efforts to enhance project efficiency and deliver superior outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

To excel in this position, you will possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Cost Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost management, project controls, or commercial oversight within large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Proven expertise in cost monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with a focus on identifying variances and mitigating risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
• Experience working with Earned Value Management (EVM), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and project performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
