Key Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the following critical initiatives:

• Design and Optimize CI/CD Pipelines: Architect, implement, and maintain robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, deployment, and release processes, ensuring seamless and scalable software delivery.
• Master Kubernetes and Containerization: Manage and administer production-grade Kubernetes clusters, deploy applications using Docker and Helm, and develop reusable Helm charts to enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Automate Infrastructure Provisioning: Utilize Terraform and Ansible to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure-as-code, reducing manual intervention and ensuring consistency across environments.
• Embed Security and Compliance: Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security scanning, vulnerability checks, and compliance tools into CI/CD workflows to safeguard applications and infrastructure.
• Enhance Observability and Reliability: Deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK to ensure real-time visibility into system performance and proactive issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Complex Issues: Diagnose and resolve intricate deployment, infrastructure, and Kubernetes-related challenges with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developers, security teams, and infrastructure engineers to align DevOps practices with business goals and drive operational excellence.
• Establish DevOps Standards: Define and enforce best practices, documentation, and automation frameworks to elevate the maturity of our DevOps capabilities and foster a culture of innovation.
• Support Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts, conduct post-mortems, and implement corrective actions to enhance system resilience and operational performance.

Required Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• 6+ Years of Experience: Proven expertise in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related field, with a strong track record of designing and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Linux Proficiency: Deep hands-on experience with Linux administration, including scripting, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
• Kubernetes Mastery: Extensive experience with Kubernetes, including cluster administration, networking, security, and resource management.
• Containerization Expertise: Strong familiarity with Docker and Helm, including the development of reusable Helm charts and efficient containerized deployments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
• CI/CD Automation: Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Scripting Skills: Advanced knowledge of Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell for automating repetitive tasks and developing custom solutions.
• DevSecOps Integration: Experience embedding security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, including vulnerability scanning and compliance checks within CI/CD workflows.
• Observability Tools: Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK for performance tracking and incident detection.
• Troubleshooting and Incident Management: Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in fast-paced environments.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, the following will be highly valued:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio or Cilium for advanced Kubernetes networking.
• Knowledge of GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux for declarative infrastructure management.
• Experience with container registries and artifact management for secure and efficient deployments.
• Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, cloud technologies, or DevOps frameworks.
