Key Responsibilities

You will take ownership of end-to-end AI/ML development, ensuring solutions are not only intelligent but also robust, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Core responsibilities include:

• Architect and Develop AI-Powered Applications: Design and implement scalable AI systems leveraging generative AI, LLMs, and advanced retrieval techniques such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). Build intelligent agents and agentic workflows to automate complex decision-making processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Integrate Cutting-Edge AI Models: Work with leading commercial and open-source AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Llama, Mistral) via APIs and SDKs to develop tailored solutions for enterprise applications. Optimize performance, cost, and latency while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Leverage Advanced AI Techniques: Apply prompt engineering, embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) to create context-aware and high-accuracy AI applications. Implement structured outputs, function/tool calling, and AI evaluation frameworks to ensure reliability and performance.
• Build Robust Backend Infrastructure: Develop REST APIs, microservices, and backend components using modern technologies such as Python, Node.js, Java, or .NET. Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and vector databases to support AI-driven data pipelines and retrieval systems.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with DevOps/MLOps engineers to deploy AI workloads in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) while adhering to CI/CD best practices. Ensure observability, monitoring, and scalability of AI systems in production.
• Advocate for Security and Responsible AI: Implement governance, privacy, and ethical AI principles to ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational values. Develop AI guardrails and evaluation frameworks to mitigate risks and enhance trustworthiness.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Lead code reviews, contribute to engineering standards, and mentor junior and mid-level developers. Stay ahead of industry trends by exploring emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and development practices.
• Troubleshoot and Innovate: Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, providing actionable recommendations to improve system performance and reliability. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and push the boundaries of AI-driven solutions.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring a strong foundation in both software engineering and AI/ML development, along with hands-on experience in the following areas:

• Software Engineering: 7+ years of professional experience developing scalable, high-performance applications. Proficiency in Python and at least one additional language (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Go). Deep knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures. Expertise in software design principles, clean code practices, and system architecture.
• AI/Generative AI: Extensive experience building and deploying AI/ML or generative AI applications. Strong understanding of LLMs, transformer models, and their applications. Practical expertise in prompt engineering, RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search. Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel. Familiarity with AI agents, function/tool calling, and structured outputs.
• Cloud and DevOps: Experience deploying applications on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and MLOps/LLMOps practices. Understanding of application observability, monitoring, and logging tools.
• ML Frameworks: Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face is a significant advantage. Proficiency in integrating AI models through APIs and SDKs, including OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini.
