As a key advisor to senior leadership, you will provide strategic guidance on contract frameworks, ensuring that every agreement reflects our operational realities while maximizing commercial outcomes. Your ability to navigate intricate legal and commercial landscapes will be essential in fostering collaboration across departments, including Legal, Procurement, and Project Management, to deliver cohesive and enforceable agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of high-impact activities:

• Contract Development and Negotiation: Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a diverse range of contracts, including EPC, Design & Build, Construction, Framework Agreements, Letters of Award (LOAs), Letters of Intent (LOIs), Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and Consortium Agreements. Ensure these documents are legally sound, commercially robust, and tailored to mitigate risks while aligning with strategic goals.
• Strategic Risk and Compliance: Provide expert input on contract structures to optimize risk allocation and ensure full compliance with local, international laws, and internal policies. Act as the primary guardian of Delegation of Authority (DoA) adherence, ensuring all agreements are executed within defined parameters.
• Tender and Bid Support: Actively participate in tender evaluations, identifying contractual, legal, and commercial risks to inform bid strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine contractual positioning, enhancing competitiveness while maintaining compliance and enforceability.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the central point of contact for contract-related matters, bridging gaps between Legal, Commercial, Procurement, and Project Management teams. Facilitate seamless collaboration to ensure contract terms are both operationally viable and strategically aligned.
• Documentation and Repository Management: Oversee the lifecycle management of contract documentation, maintaining a robust repository with version control and audit readiness. Ensure timely handover of signed agreements to implementation teams while providing regular updates to leadership on contract status, risks, and strategic opportunities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization during contract discussions with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Support relationship management with external partners and joint ventures, particularly during the tendering phase, to foster long-term collaboration.
• Knowledge and Process Improvement: Develop and maintain Contract Review Sheets (CRS), risk registers, and mitigation plans. Mentor junior professionals, contribute to best practices in contract formation, and participate in post-award reviews to refine future contracting strategies.
• Reporting and Communication: Prepare and deliver insightful presentations and reports highlighting key contractual insights, risks, and recommendations. Support internal audits and compliance reviews by providing clear documentation and strategic recommendations.
