Key Responsibilities

As our SAP Basis Consultant, your role will encompass a broad spectrum of technical and operational duties designed to uphold the integrity and performance of SAP systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• System Administration and Optimization: Install, configure, and maintain SAP environments across development, test, and production systems, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client-specific requirements.
• Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor SAP system performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to guarantee high availability, reliability, and scalability. Your analytical skills will be instrumental in resolving complex technical challenges before they impact business operations.
• System Upgrades and Enhancements: Lead and support system upgrades, patch management, and enhancements to keep SAP landscapes current, secure, and optimized for evolving business needs.
• Transport and Client Management: Utilize SAP tools to manage transports, client configurations, and system landscapes with precision, ensuring smooth transitions between environments.
• Disaster Recovery and Data Protection: Design, implement, and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical client data and minimize downtime in the event of system failures or breaches.
• Collaborative Implementation Support: Work closely with functional teams to facilitate new system implementations, migrations, and integrations, bridging technical and business requirements seamlessly.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure transparency, traceability, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, providing a strong foundation for understanding enterprise systems and SAP architecture.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, with a proven track record of managing SAP environments in production and non-production landscapes.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP installations, configurations, and system monitoring, including familiarity with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or SAP HANA. Proficiency with operating systems like Linux and Windows in SAP-specific contexts is essential.
• Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of system issues and implement effective resolutions. Your meticulous approach will ensure minimal disruptions and optimal performance.
