In this pivotal role, you will spearhead Al Majed Oud Company’s cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring robust protection of digital assets, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and proactive risk mitigation. As the architect of our cybersecurity strategy, you will align technology, governance, and human resources to safeguard our operations against evolving cyber threats while driving operational excellence and business continuity.

This position demands a visionary leader with deep expertise in cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance. You will collaborate across departments to fortify our infrastructure, enhance threat detection capabilities, and cultivate a culture of cybersecurity awareness—all while optimizing financial resources and fostering talent development within the cybersecurity team.

Key Responsibilities

Your strategic oversight will encompass the following critical areas:

• Strategic Leadership and Digital Protection: Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the company’s digital transformation objectives. Define and enforce cybersecurity controls for infrastructure, networks, servers, and cloud environments, ensuring seamless coordination with the Operations and Infrastructure Department. Lead the approval of incident response plans, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to mitigate risks and maintain business continuity. Oversee the security of digital supply chains, third-party contracts, and external systems while directing the 24/7 operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) to detect and respond to emerging threats.
• Governance, Risk, and Compliance: Ensure full adherence to National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) regulations, including Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC) and Critical Systems Cybersecurity Controls (CSCC). Approve and update the corporate cyber risk register, endorsing mitigation strategies and compliance reports. Champion internal security policies, standards, and controls, while overseeing their implementation across all business units. Drive cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations and training programs, to empower employees as the first line of defense. Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and auditors, ensuring seamless compliance and reporting.
• Financial Stewardship: Prepare and manage the annual cybersecurity budget, including allocations for licenses, software, and infrastructure. Monitor operational and capital expenditures (OPEX/CAPEX) to ensure alignment with financial goals while evaluating the technical and financial viability of security solutions to maximize ROI. Leverage data-driven insights to optimize resource allocation and enhance cost-efficiency in cybersecurity investments.
• Talent Development and Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing cybersecurity team, setting clear SMART goals and KPIs to drive operational success. Approve performance evaluations, identify training needs, and develop succession plans to cultivate future cybersecurity leaders. Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment that aligns with corporate values while promoting a culture of compliance and vigilance.
• Policy, Operations, and Continuous Improvement: Monitor the implementation of security policies, SOPs, identity management controls, and access privileges. Drive automation initiatives to streamline incident response and enhance cyber defense capabilities. Continuously evaluate and refine defense mechanisms to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats.
