We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Roads Engineer to join our Riyadh office and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure. Your Impact

As a Senior Roads Engineer at ARX, you will be responsible for leading the design, planning, and execution of cutting-edge road and highway systems that define the Kingdom’s infrastructure landscape. Your work will directly contribute to the development of sustainable, efficient, and world-class transportation networks. Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Design Leadership: Lead the conceptualization, planning, and detailed design of roads and highways, ensuring alignment with global best practices and local regulatory requirements. Your expertise will shape geometric layouts, traffic flow optimization, grading, intersections, junctions, and pavement design to create seamless and high-performance infrastructure.
• Technical Excellence: Perform and oversee advanced engineering analyses, including road geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, and pavement design, while ensuring compliance with KSA’s stringent codes, standards, and authority mandates.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Act as a bridge between road engineering and other infrastructure disciplines, coordinating road levels, corridors, crossings, and interfaces to integrate road systems harmoniously into broader project frameworks.
• Documentation and Reporting: Author detailed engineering reports, plans, and technical documentation that serve as the foundation for project execution and stakeholder communication.
• Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Provide expert guidance to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within ARX.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with government authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met with precision and clarity.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a robust blend of technical expertise and leadership experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with a focus on roads and highways.
• Proven expertise in KSA: At least 3 years of relevant experience within the Kingdom, demonstrating a deep understanding of local regulations, standards, and construction practices.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of road and highway design principles, including geometric design, traffic engineering, grading, intersections, and pavement engineering.
• Regulatory Acumen: Familiarity with KSA’s technical codes, standards, and authority requirements to ensure seamless project execution.
• Software Mastery: Proficiency in industry-leading tools such as Civil 3D and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, enabling you to deliver high-precision designs and analyses.
• Communication Skills: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage, facilitating smoother collaboration with local stakeholders.
