Key Responsibilities

As our Cost Controller, your core responsibilities will include:

• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive cost reports, analyzing variances to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction. Ensure accurate tracking of food, beverage, and operational costs to support informed decision-making.
• Inventory and Procurement Oversight: Monitor stock consumption, wastage, and inventory levels to optimize purchasing decisions and minimize operational costs. Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms and ensure cost-effective sourcing of goods.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections tailored to F&B operations. Continuously evaluate financial performance against targets and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Operational Cost Control: Implement and enforce cost-control measures across all F&B departments, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints without compromising service quality or guest experience.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and F&B teams to align financial strategies with operational goals. Act as a bridge between departments to foster transparency and accountability in cost management.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications in cost management or financial analysis are a plus.
• Industry-Specific Expertise: Proven experience as a Cost Controller within the F&B industry is mandatory. Candidates without direct F&B cost control experience will not be considered.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling. Experience with ERP systems and financial software is highly desirable.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret financial data, identify cost variances, and develop strategic solutions. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving financial discrepancies.
• Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, fostering collaboration between Finance, Operations, and F&B teams. Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
• Operational Acumen: Deep understanding of food cost, beverage cost, inventory control, and operational cost structures. Experience in stock reconciliation, wastage analysis, and procurement optimization.
