Key Responsibilities

As the driving force behind our integration strategy, your responsibilities will include:

• Architect and Govern Complex Integration Solutions: Design and oversee end-to-end integration architectures that ensure secure, scalable, and efficient connectivity between applications, platforms, and external systems. Your solutions will underpin critical business processes, demanding a balance of technical precision and strategic foresight.
• Lead Technical Implementation: Take ownership of high-impact integration projects, including partnerships, scheme integrations, and internal platform connections. Your leadership will ensure timely delivery, adherence to technical standards, and alignment with business goals.
• Define and Enforce Integration Standards: Establish and enforce engineering practices, protocols, and patterns that govern API design, messaging systems, and integration workflows. Your standards will serve as the foundation for consistency, reliability, and scalability across the organization.
• Leverage Enterprise Integration Tools: Specialize in IBM’s integration suite, including IBM ACE, API Connect, MQ, and Kafka, to build and govern integrations that support synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and API-based architectures. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and seamless interoperability.
• Manage the API Lifecycle: Oversee API versioning, gateway policies, and consumer onboarding to ensure a robust and future-proof API ecosystem. Your focus on governance will enhance usability, security, and scalability for all stakeholders.
• Prioritize Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce stringent security controls, including mTLS, certificate management, encryption, and secure key handling, to safeguard partner connectivity and data integrity. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and change governance frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and Optimize: Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues across system boundaries, leveraging your deep technical acumen to restore functionality and improve system resilience. Continuously optimize performance, monitoring, error handling, and reconciliation processes.
• Identify and Mitigate Risks: Proactively assess integration risks, dependencies, and technical debt, recommending actionable improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency. Your insights will drive continuous innovation and operational excellence.
• Mentor and Collaborate: Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to enterprise-wide integration initiatives. Foster a culture of collaboration and technical excellence to elevate the organization’s integration capabilities.

Qualifications and Expertise

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical depth, strategic vision, and hands-on experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• Experience: At least 5+ years in enterprise integration, with a track record of senior technical ownership. Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale integration solutions in complex environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in IBM integration tooling, including IBM ACE, API Connect, MQ, and DataPower, as well as event streaming platforms like Kafka. Strong grasp of API design principles, security protocols (OAuth2, mTLS), and message-level security.
• Industry-Specific Knowledge: Experience with payments integrations, including ISO 8583, ISO 20022, or scheme-specific integrations, is a significant advantage.
• Certifications: Professional certifications in relevant technologies or domains are a plus and will be valued in your application.
