Accountant – Ensure Financial Integrity and Compliance in Saudi Arabia

In this pivotal role, you will oversee core accounting functions, maintain financial accuracy, and ensure seamless adherence to local regulations—including ZATCA/VAT compliance—while contributing to robust financial reporting and audit readiness.

As an integral member of the finance department, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting tax obligations. Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities, ensuring both operational efficiency and regulatory compliance:

• General Accounting & Ledger Maintenance:
• Prepare and post accurate daily journal entries, including payment and receipt vouchers, to reflect all financial transactions.
• Maintain and update accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) ledgers with meticulous attention to detail.
• Execute month-end and year-end account closing processes to ensure financial statements are prepared on time and in compliance with accounting standards.
• Bank & Account Reconciliation:
• Conduct thorough monthly reconciliations of bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer balances to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables to optimize cash flow and coordinate timely vendor payments to maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Tax & ZATCA Compliance:
• Ensure full compliance with ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoorah) requirements, including proper documentation and submission processes.
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly VAT filings while assisting with Zakat documentation to meet all regulatory deadlines.
• Financial Reporting & Audit Support:
• Generate and review trial balances, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements to support internal decision-making.
• Collaborate with external auditors by compiling and organizing required supporting documents and schedules to facilitate smooth audit processes.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A **Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance**, validating your expertise in financial principles and practices.
• **1–3 years of hands-on accounting experience**, preferably within Saudi Arabia, where you have honed your skills in ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and tax compliance.
• Proven proficiency in accounting software and tools, with a strong understanding of ZATCA/VAT regulations.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, coupled with a commitment to accuracy and ethical financial practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
